FD: Firstly, this comment came in reaction to the shootings of 4 RCMP officers in Alberta. Although the evidence shows that a grow op had little or nothing to do with the shootings the government chose to utilize this tragedy to advance their own political agenda of substancially increasing the sentences given to people caught growing cannabis.
Secondly, there is no basis for saying "most" grow ops are controlled by organized crime.
