Senate Special Committee on Illegal Drugs - Info Links & Video Clips

The Senate Special Committee on Illegal Drugs was formed on April 11, 2000 and began hearings in October 2000. The scope of the committee was narrowed to the study of cannabis laws.

On September 4, 2002 the Senate Special Committee on Illegal Drugs publicly announced their findings and issued their recommendations. The committee strongly recommended the legalization of cannabis, and urged the government not to delay on implementing their suggestions.
